PGY-1 New Salary
Your new salary is $46,865.00.  It was effective 8/16/09
PGY-2 New Salary
Your new salary is $48,307.00.  It was effective 8/16/09
PGY-3 New Salary
Your new salary is $50,161.00.  It was effective 8/16/09

 

PTO/Paid Time Off
All residents are granted PTO (Paid Time Off) days per academic year, which includes vacation, illness, maternity leave, paternity leave, interviews, courses and exams. The Paid Time Off program gives you the flexibility to plan and schedule paid time off according to your personal needs. PGY-1 residents are granted 24 PTO days. PGY-2 and PGY-3 residents are granted 28 PTO days per academic year.

Stipend for Books
$350 per year for every resident.

 

Rewards and Recognition
Up to six paid days allowed to attend a board review course during the third year. The program will pay up to $1000 in expenses including tuition fees.

Best PGY-1 Resident Award of $500.

Best PGY-2 Resident Award of $500.

Outstanding Senior Resident Award of $500 to honor a PGY-3 resident upon graduation.

Research Recognition Award of $500 to the PGY-3 resident who wins the research competition.

 

Meals
Reimbursement for meals when on call.

 

Uniforms
Residents are provided three white coats plus laundry service for same.

 

Health, Vision and Dental Insurance
Residents receive health coverage through the hospital’s flexible health benefits program, including dental insurance.

 

Life Insurance and Disability Coverage
A life insurance policy equal to the resident’s salary and a disability policy are provided at no charge to the resident.

 

Professional Liability Insurance Coverage
Residents are covered by the hospital's professional liability insurance while performing duties within the scope of their medical education program.

 

Credit Union and Direct Deposit
Direct deposit of your paycheck will be arranged through the payroll office. The hospital offers membership in the credit union and provides a bank machine on the premises.
